Our Trip to the New Mexico Gathering Takes Twists and Turns

When we left California, I thought the path to the rainbow gathering in New Mexico would be straight across the country and that we would arrive in record time of two weeks across the country- tops. Well, a two week trip turned into two months of all sorts of unexpected journeys, tourism and special mission callings.

First, we encountered a tragedy that called us to the mountains in northern California to help a family who had just lost three year old Gabriel to a drowning accident. Cephas and I became heavily involved with this effort to raise funds for little Gabriel's funeral and burial.

We received a plea to assist a Sheriff in Crook county Prineville, Oregon in finding a young man named Tyson Schrade who disappeared in the Ochoco National Forest last September 11. Now we're racing to the rainbow gathering taking place in the Santa Fe National Forest to share in the prayer and celebration over the fourth of July. But we have a two fold purpose in attending this gathering.

We hope to organize a large assembly of folks at this rainbow gathering who will gather with us in the Ochoco National Forest in Oregon to help recover the missing brother, Tyson Schrade. This young brother needs to be brought home so his mom can have closure and so his rainbow family can help lay his body in its final resting place. This will be a large mission for us that begins right now.

Please support our Special Mission. Donate to this cause through paypal at themidnightwriter1@gmail.com and watch for special write ups on Angels for Gabriel, facebook, twitter and some of our other blogs. We really need help with gas, food and supplies and other search gear to outfit a one hundred man search team. Any donations will be helpful in making it possible for us to bring Tyson home.
